One of Diane Taylor-Kirk's life-long dreams was to complete college and become an architect. Because of life's problems, her dreams were put on hold for more than 30 years.

When she finally entered College of DuPage, she simply planned to take a few architecture classes. Instead, she had a life- and career-altering experience.

"I developed a new love for the construction industry," she said. "After obtaining two internships with construction companies that recruited students from C.O.D.'s Construction Management program, I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up -- a construction manager."

Taylor-Kirk graduated on the Dean's List with academic honors and became members of both the Alpha Beta Gamma Honor Society and the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. She also was chosen as the college’s Outstanding Female Graduate and was a recipient of the Rotary Club of Naperville Scholarship.

"All of this from our little community college, C.O.D.," she said. "Thanks C.O.D. !!"
