The Practical Nursing (PN) certificate program at College of DuPage provides didactic, laboratory and clinical education for students interested in pursuing a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The PN program also serves as a transitional step for students interested in continuing their education by completing the college's Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program.
The one-year PN program requires the completion of 34 credit hours, with courses beginning in January and ending in December. The PN certificate is a limited enrollment program. Students are accepted into the program based on specific admission criteria, including the completion of specific prerequisites and the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate.
