Oct. 23, 2009 – College of DuPage's newly formed “Business Solutions” is DuPage County’s one-stop shop for employee training and business development needs. Located in Lisle, Business Solutions recently announced it had secured 34 additional clients in the past month.
“We are delighted to see so many businesses turning to College of DuPage for training and development” said Mike Perez, Dean of Continuing Education/Extended Learning. “We expect this department to grow aggressively in the coming months as more businesses understand how we can help them improve their bottom line with on-site or on-campus curricula tailored to their specific needs.”
Perez and Business Solutions Account Executives Andy Kerrins and Maribeth Lezcano are responsible for implementing the program and promoting its benefits to prospective COD district clients. With a combined 25 years of business experience, they are aggressively pursuing new clients in the DuPage community by designing educational solutions for their training needs.
“I am extremely excited with the opportunity to grow our Business Solutions department,” said Kerrins. “We will consult and coordinate with area businesses and organizations to deliver exemplary training programs tailored to individual needs.”
College of DuPage Business Solutions customizes curriculum for the specific objectives of its clients. A sampling of courses includes English as a Second Language (ESL), Spanish for Managers, Leadership, Business Writing Customer Service, Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Welding, Soldering, Customer Service, Lean Manufacturing, Microsoft Office, Project Management, Health, marketing, and computer repair.
