COD Hosts 'Culture and the Mind in Papua New Guinea' Nov. 12

Nov. 4, 2009 – The College of DuPage International Education office will present “Culture and the Mind in Papua New Guinea”” from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in the Student Resource Center, Room 1450A, on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
 
This free lecture is part of the International Brown Bag Series.
 
COD Anthropology Professor Alex Bolyanatz conducted a series of experiments with the Sursurunga-speaking people of New Ireland, Papua New Guinea, investigating how cultural variations can impact universal cognitive processes. He will discuss his work and findings.
