Official Communication from President Robert L. Breuder Regarding Construction Updates

To College Employees, Students and Community Members –

As you know, College of DuPage is undergoing an unprecedented $383 million construction and renovation project. This includes the new Health and Science Building, the new Technical Education Center, and a complete renovation of the Berg Instructional Center and the Student Resource Center.

What does this ambitious plan mean for you? In a relatively short amount of time, we will have one of the country’s very best community college campuses with cutting edge educational facilities that better reflect the greatness of our faculty, staff, and the people we serve.

Until then, the noise, location changes and reduced pedestrian routes will be periodically inconvenient for all of us. To ease disruption, we will pursue aggressive communication to ensure that you have every opportunity to plan your schedules effectively. Just some of our many communication tools include e-mail, electronic signs, continued postings on the student and employee portals, FaceBook and Twitter updates, and public service announcements.

Additionally, you can call the Facilities Hotline at 4440 if you have any questions or concerns regarding construction projects. Please also visit our home page at www.cod.edu and click on the “Campus Construction” icon for the latest construction news.

Several members of Faculty Senate, student leadership and College staff provided much appreciated feedback as we discussed how best to communicate with the C.O.D. family. They deserve our sincere thanks. Together we truly will make a difference.

Thank you.

Dr. Robert L. Breuder
President
