Oct. 15, 2009 – Grammy Award-winning artist Bruce Hornsby brings some of his most popular songs and crowd favorites to the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn, during a 7 p.m. Mainstage performance Sunday, Nov. 15.
Hornsby, who has recorded 13 albums, has also collaborated with a number of artists, including Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills and Nash, and Willie Nelson. He co-authored “The End of the Innocence” with Don Henley and played piano on Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” Hornsby was also a part-time member of The Grateful Dead from 1990 to 1992, appearing on four of the band’s albums.
Most recently, Hornsby released a bluegrass album with Ricky Skaggs and a jazz album with Jack DeJohnette and Christian McBride.
Known for his impromptu set lists, Hornsby walks into every performance not knowing what he’ll play, instead relying on audience requests. Those attending the Nov. 15 concert, therefore, should come with some written suggestions to place on the stage.
Tickets are $65 for adults, $63 for seniors and $55 for youth. First- and second-row tickets are $90 for adults, $88 for seniors and $80 for youth.
