Oct. 27, 2009 – The College of DuPage Dual Credit program is pleased to announce the addition of Fenton and Montini high schools to its expanding list of high school partners.
The Dual Credit program allows high school students to enroll in select courses at the College that provide both high school and college credit.
Headed by Director Ann Marie Rosen, the tuition-free program offers various classes, taught during the regular school day by teachers who are also approved as COD adjunct faculty.
As partners, Fenton (location) and Montini (location) officials enter into a contractual agreement with the College to offer dual credit to their students. Fenton students are able to take two art courses, an early childhood education course and a graphic arts course. Montini students, meanwhile, may take an anatomy/physiology course.
Fenton and Montini join a number of area high schools offering their students an opportunity to save money by earning college credit while still enrolled in high school. Other participating schools include: Addison Trail, Downers Grove North, Downers Grove South, Neuqua Valley, Waubonsie Valley, Lake Park, Lyons Township, Naperville Central, Naperville North, Technology Center of DuPage, West Chicago, Wheaton Academy, Wheaton North, Wheaton/Warrenville South, Willowbrook and York.
Dual credit can be applied toward a certificate or degree at College of DuPage or can be transferred to another college or university.
