The MAC 2012-13 season is going to be a very exciting one for us. As many of you know, we are renovating the McAninch Arts Center beginning in October. After 25 years of great service our stages and our classrooms will receive some tender loving care, but our performances will not go into hibernation. We’ve planned a moveable feast of events for you during the 2012-2013 season.
MAC Venues for the 2012-2013 Season
Edman Chapel, Wheaton CollegeCorner of Washington and Franklin, Wheaton
Named after Wheaton College’s fourth president, the 2,400-seat Edman Chapel is the site of campus and community events.
Fermilab Arts & Lecture SeriesKirk Road and Pine Street, Batavia
Known primarily as a high energy physics research facility, Fermilab is also home to a performing arts series with performances held in the beautiful 847-seat Ramsey Auditorium.
Tivoli Theatre5021 Highland Avenue, Downers Grove
Opening on Christmas Day in 1928, the 1,000-seat Tivoli Theatre was among the first movie houses built to show “talkies.” The Tivoli is one of the longest-operating movie theaters in the Chicago-area and serves as performing arts space for local groups.
College of DuPage Building K TheatreBuilding K – on Fawell Boulevard west of Lambert Road
What was known as K-Commons has been transformed into a 128-seat theater to be utilized by Buffalo Theatre Ensemble and the College Theater Department.
