Student Music

The Music Department at College of DuPage boasts a variety of music ensembles and offers private lessons in voice, on any instrument, or group lessons in voice and piano, as well as courses in digital recording/editing, music theory and history.

Interested in making music? Find a musical community and experience the joy of performing in one of the COD’s many ensembles. Musicians of all ages are welcome to join. Select ensembles require audition to join and/or for placement. To start making music contact the director or for general questions, call (630) 942-2048.

DuPage Chorale performs choral masterworks featuring soloists and the DuPage Chorale Orchestra. Membership is open, and includes college and community singers of all ages and levels of experience. The Concert Choir (Music 1120), open to all singers interested in a wide variety of choral literature, meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 to 11:50 a.m. The Chamber Singers (Music 1130), an auditioned ensemble, meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. The Chamber Singers specializes in madrigals, African, Hispanic and other folk music and music for unaccompanied choir. Dance

The college’s Dance program presents a performance each semester showcasing the work of imaginative student choreographers, faculty and guest choreographers. Class work as well as individual work is presented in an evening length program.

Tickets are $4 and are available at the MAC Ticket Office. Performances are held in the Mainstage at the MAC. MAC Pack discounts do not apply.
