Blues at the Crossroads - "Celebrating Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf."  Tivoli Theater in Downers Grove. Join us as we celebrate two legends of Chicago Blues – Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf. The Fabulous Thunderbirds featuring Kim Wilson are the core band backing greats Tinsley Ellis, Jody Williams, James Cotton and Bob Margolin. (Tinsley Ellis will take the stage in place of J.J. Grey). All these artists join together paying homage to the late “fathers of modern Chicago blues,” Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf. Though friends, Muddy & The Wolf were rivals for the top slot spurring each other as they created classics of the genre: “Spoonful,” “Mannish Boy,” “Rolling Stone,” and “Smokestack Lightning.”  Performing the music from these blues music moguls, Blues at the Crossroads brings to life one of the greatest music genres in American history.
