Home for the Summer

At College of DuPage, you can pick up core classes during your summer break from another college or university. Then transfer the credit back with you.

Just follow these easy steps:

• If you have never applied to or attended, complete the online Admission Form. Indicate "other" as your educational goal for attending C.O.D.
• Speak to your university/college adviser and find out about transfer guidelines.
• Proof of Prerequisite at C.O.D.: If you’ve taken the prerequisite at another college, have your official college transcript sent to the College of DuPage Records office 425 Fawell Blvd, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 and complete a Student Transfer Evaluation Form. Submit to the Records office. Your ACT score may meet some reading, writing and math prerequisites. Send your official score report to the Testing Center. If your high school posts ACT scores on transcripts, have your official high school transcript sent to the Records office.
• If your course requires a placement test before registration, visit the Assessment and Testing Lab, Berg Instructional Center (BIC), Room 100, as soon as you return home.
• Register for classes via myACCESS. The myACCESS self service web site has extended hours. It will be available seven days a week from 6 a.m. until 2 a.m.
• Pay tuition within seven (7) days of registering for your class(es), except when registering 14 days before the semester starts. Beginning 14 days before the start of the semester, payment is due by the end of the next business day to avoid being dropped.
