Degrees

College of DuPage offers eight degrees: Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), Associate in Engineering Science (A.E.S.), Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.), Associate in General Studies (A.G.S.), Associate in Fine Arts Art Option (A.F.A.), Associate in Fine Arts Music Option (A.F.A.), and Associate in Arts in Teaching Secondary Mathematics (A.A.). Graduation requirements for all associate's degrees: Students are subject to the degree requirements that are in effect during the academic year in which they enroll, as well as subsequent applicable changes.

Every degree requires a General Education Core in the following areas:

  • Humanities and Fine Arts
  • Social and Behavioral Sciences

Transfer Degrees
The Associate in Fine Arts (A.F.A.) degrees in Art and Music are intended for students who wish to prepare for transfer to a baccalaureate-granting school with a Bachelor in Fine Arts or Music program.

The Associate in Arts (A.A.) and Associate in Science (A.S.) degrees represent the first two years of study for students who plan to pursue a bachelorís degree. While these degrees are not awarded in specialties, students can pursue transfer areas of study:
